Xtralis Training
We offer accreditation training for channel partners who wish to sell, design, install, commission, service and maintain VESDA Aspirating smoke detection systems (ASDs). The training consists of instructor-led courses that are offered on a regular basis in Hemel Hempstead and several times per year at other locations. We may be able to accommodate an on-site training option.
Which course should you attend?
The VESDA Training Course Structure is split into 2 disciplines:
- VESDA ASD Applications and Design – This course is for: Sales Engineers, Pre-sales Engineers, System Designers, Application Engineers and Project Managers
- VESDA ASD Engineering – These courses are for: Installation, Commissioning, Service & Maintenance Engineers and Project Managers

VESDA ASD Applications and Design Course
This 1-day course covers the VESDA product line, including the new VESDA-E range, and its applications. Also covered are elements of VESDA pipework design and an introduction to ASPIRE Pipe Network Design Software. The course ends with an accreditation test, successful completion of this test is required for a 2-year accreditation certificate.

VESDA ASD Engineering
This 1-day course covers the current range of VESDA ASDs, including the new VESDA-E range, and the Sensepoint Gas Detection; it covers the product, internal systems and physical wiring. Also covered are elements of VESDA and VSC programming, and a product workshop. The course ends with an accreditation test, successful completion of this test is required for a 2-year accreditation certificate.
Note: VESDA VEA is only covered to an introduction level on this course and the VEA Advanced Engineering course, in addition, is required to complete full VEA training.
